John KC4KLM attended
the Lake Wales RC Jet show this weekend. He located the remote
control frequency assignment board which keeps pilots from mixing
signals possibly resulting in the loss of a $7,000 model jet
plane. He noted that one of the remote 'channel' tags in use
this day was an Amateur Radio frequency in the 6 meter band.
Attempts to find the pilot in hopes of an interview went in
vain.![]() One of the Jets, powered by an actual jet engine is taxiing to the departure area for take-off. ![]() I wonder how much more this custom paint job adds to the cost to the plane? ![]() A nice close up.
Same plane with the eagle
paint job in flight, flaps extended coming in for landing. |
