Due to the disturbingly low turn out at the December meeting, with only 9 voting members present, and if you were not one of them, we felt you still need to be kept up to date. This was to be an important meeting about what was happening in your club.

Here's the highlights:
  • Held off accepting 2007 dues as Treasurer was out of town on a job.

  • We thanked Sam W4KUM for 32 years of Service to the club as officer and more.

  • More people are interested in having multiple tables at the Sebring 'fest.

  • Report on tower and antenna taken down on the 18th of November.

  • Thanked the many volunteers/supporters who came out on the 18th to help.
    .
  • Need to move shed ASAP.

  • Elections. Need New officers for Pres., Sec., and Treas. who will not be available to serve again in 2007.

  • No one volunteered for any office. Elections will be held again Jan. 11th.

  • Meetings are still held at the 'Y'. Same time and date.

  • Reviewed what have been done in the last 13 years looking for a Repeater site.

  • Numerous documents from the archives consisting of hand written notes, topographic maps, County tower inquiries, etc. were displayed on a table regarding the search for a new location dating back to 1993 to present, showing we've done our homework.

  • Discussed the kinds of a sites that are serviceable and non-serviceable.

  • Through connections, we plan to check out a possible site in Lake Wales.

  • Let's all hope that we are able to have have an improved turn out next month as we guide the Club in a desirable direction! Without support and genuine interest, one day Repeater, or even possibly the club's fate could eventually be sealed. We're a small group but big enough to get the job done!
