In fact, there are a number of vacancies that need to be filled within the LWRA. If you have been wondering what is going on with the repeater situation as of late, you need look no further for answers than right here.
Technically, for the 2007 year the LWRA has no willing officers, because no one wants the job. Naturally, due to the lack of leadership and motivation/interest, it appears that no action, on any subject is occurring at this time.
There is talk (not rumors) amongst some members about considering the cessation of future Repeater operations. Support for the Repeater is the main goal which the LWRA was founded on. What will that mean for the rest of the association if a Repeater is no longer supported? The next series of meetings when they resume starting September 13th, may decide fate.
What will it take to keep the LWRA and sponsored Repeater going?
To the point- elected members who are self motivated, capable, and skilled where needed.
