LWRA Membership Information Thank you for your decision to help support the Lake Wales Repeater system and welcome to the club! Dues period is January 1 to December 31. What are your dues for?

As you may already know, the LWRA is a non-profit group. Most of your dollars help the Lake Wales Repeater system stay on the air. Some times that alone can be a challenge being we are in the "Lightning Capitol" State. It is not uncommon for equipment to sustain some type of damage several times per year due to mother nature.

There are times when we elect to upgrade or replace some Repeater system equipment to improve performance. For example, we are hoping to find a new tower site that may give us Florida coast-to-coast as members and travelers have enjoyed in the past. Quite a bit of money will be needed in "The big move" as we have experienced before.

Dues also go towards the cost of printing and mailing of the LWRA news letter, published at regular intervals, as well as other small miscellaneous expenses most of which is returned to the members in some way.

Presently we are holding our meetings and have some Repeater equipment at the local Y.M.C.A.. We have voted to make a donation to the Y.M.C.A. once a year to help out this great non-profit organization, and to compensate for the electrical usage by the LWRA.

Funds may also be used for approved club functions such as a club picnic.
