(Looking South) Another great picture of the Lake Wales Kiwanis Park facilities.

The sky appears to be clearing up a bit. The weather is excellent. As shown, the flag continuously waves as a moderate breeze persists throughout the day. So far Summer time conditions have not been so bad here in Central Florida.

It's now noon and time to eat!
(looking North) Ignoring the dinner gong, Rich WA4ABM, Rick W4RLD, Glen KA2EUM, Sam W4KUM and Thomas AG4UC deal with a tangle of wire intended for a second 40 Meter wire antenna, that doubled as a 15M antenna as well.

Clouds are darker looking to the North.

Pat (AI4OP) and I (AD4IH) really enjoyed the laid-back, no-pressure Field Day and picnic at the Kiwanis Park in Lake Wales.  This was the best time we have had in many years.  This was also our first in many years that all that was required of us was our presence.  We just socialized and played around with the laptop, demonstrating a couple of training aids I wrote in PowerPoint.

Shirley XYL of Sam W4KUM grabs some lunch.

As always there is plenty to go around and variety. This time we had hamburgers, hot dogs, sloppy joes, 3 bean salad, sea shell salad (say that 5 times!), 'slaw, baked beans, cheese and summer sausage, as well as many deserts- some quite elaborate.

On the right is Jean Scott, City Commissioner having lunch on the Hams!
